Why thank you! We think so, too.

The long hours aren’t getting to us at all!

We may be the most well-fed group of folks in Kansas City. A BIG thank you to our amazing local donors for keeping the Command Center volunteers fueled with fabulous coffee, meals and snacks.

Shouts to:
Blanc Burgers + Bottles, Cosentino’s Downtown Market, Bo Ling’s, Gordon Biersch, Nica’s 320, Michael Forbes Bar + Grille, The Mixx, Spin! Pizza, Jack Stack BBQ, Harry’s Country Club, The Roasterie, Latte Land, H&R Block/Treat America.

We applauded Billy Butler too!

While the highlight of All Star Week is tonight’s big game, tomorrow visitors will focus on getting back home.

With bags of souvenirs and heads full of All Star memories, crowds will gather at Kansas City International to head back to their respective homes. We checked in with Joe McBride at KCI and asked for his top tips you should consider for your departure tomorrow. Also, be sure to follow @kciairport on Twitter.

  • Check flykci.com for real-time flight info
  • Arrive at least 2 hours early; crowds will be heavy
  • Return rental cars on Bern St, turn left. A bus will take you to the terminal
  • Flying @United? Don’t miss your flight. Check your ticket to see if you’re flying out of Terminal A or C
  • Be prepared at security. No liquids over 3 oz
  • New food inside @SouthwestAir security: Starbucks, Pork & Pickle
  • New food outside security: California Pizza Kitchen, Farmers Markets, Missouri Vineyards
  • Forget to buy an All Star Hat? #ASG souvenirs & apparel available in all KCI shops
  • Top of the Crown is open in @Delta security for the baseball-minded
  • Souvenir miniature bats need to go in checked luggage
  • Shoe shine in Terminal B by @SouthwestAir
  • Be sure to check in on @Foursquare @KCIAirport with #KC #ASG!
